These Privacy Policy and Terms of Use govern the use of the 8 Minutes mobile application (hereinafter "App"), provided by Deine Zweisamkeit GmbH, Frauenlobstraße 23, 55118 Mainz, Germany (hereinafter "Provider"). By using the App, you agree to these terms.

2. Privacy Policy

2.2 Collection and Processing of Personal Data

The App collects, processes, and stores personal data only to the extent necessary to provide its functions. This includes registration data (email address, name, password), profile information (relationship status, interests, personal preferences), quiz answers to improve user experience, chat messages (end-to-end encrypted), location data (optional, if enabled by the user), and payment information for purchasing premium content (processed via app stores). Additionally, external services are used: Firebase is employed for push notifications, authentication, and crash reporting, where device data, tokens, and crash data may be collected – please refer to the Google Privacy Policy for details. Supabase serves as the backend for authentication and storage of user data (such as registration details and tokens); further details can be found in the Supabase Privacy Policy. Sentry is used for error tracking and performance analysis; device information, crash reports, and user IDs (e.g., email addresses) may be transmitted to Sentry – please consult the Sentry Privacy Policy and the Sentry Terms of Service for more information.

2.3 Purpose of Data Use

The collected data is used for providing and improving the App’s features, personalizing content and suggestions, ensuring user security, and fulfilling contracts and processing payments.

2.4 Data Storage and Security

All personal data is stored on servers within the EU and encrypted according to the highest security standards. Data is deleted once it is no longer required for the operation of the App or upon the user’s request.

2.5 Disclosure of Data

Personal data is not shared with third parties unless there is a legal obligation, the user has given explicit consent, payment service providers (e.g., Google Play, Apple App Store) require the data for transaction processing, or data must be transmitted to Sentry for error analysis.

2.6 User Rights

Users have the right at any time to request information about their stored data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of their data, restrict processing of their data, request data portability, and object to data processing. Such requests should be directed to [email protected].

3. Terms of Use

3.1 Requirements for Use

The App may only be used by individuals aged 18 or older. Registration and use are permitted only with a personal user account, and users may not distribute offensive, discriminatory, or illegal content.

3.2 User Responsibilities

Users are required to keep their login data secure and not grant access to third parties. Any misuse of the App may result in the account being blocked.

3.3 Costs and Subscriptions

The basic version of the App is free. Additional content can be purchased as in-app purchases or as part of a subscription, and subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in due time (cancellation directly in the app store).

3.4 Termination of Use

Users may delete their account at any time, and the Provider reserves the right to block or delete user accounts in the event of a violation of these conditions.

3.5 Disclaimer of Liability

The Provider is not liable for damages resulting from improper use of the App. The content in the App is for entertainment purposes only and does not replace professional advice.

4. Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, the place of jurisdiction is Mainz, and should any provision of these conditions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
